Victoria Point & Coochiemudlo Div.4

Your Voice Counts

Thank you

To all those that believed in me and voted for me ‘thank you’ from the bottom of my heart. Though I did not win the election I did win overwhelmingly the warmth of this amazing community which I am so very proud to be part of.

I would like to thank everyone who contributed enormously to my Campaign.
There are some special people I would like to thank individually.

Firstly my husband Michael for supporting me in so many ways, you inspire me daily and I love you dearly. Also my beautiful kids Matthew and Emily who have supported me 100% whilst not having me in their lives for the last 6 months. Thanks to Lynne Sturgess who is such a strong compassionate person and amazing friend who I am honored to know. To Dr Bruce Willett thank you for being my Campaign Manager and encouraging me to be the best person I can be. To my in-laws Sherele and Eugene and Michael’s Aunt & Uncle Pauline and Juri Denisenko for all your support, hard work and enthusiasm my sincere thanks. To Adam & Anna Hely thank you for being the best neighbours and friends we could wish for. To all my family, friends both old and new that have continuously encouraged me and helped out on the day in the pouring rain with such humor and huge smiles – my sincere heartfelt thanks.

I would also like to thank the businesses that supported me and my campaign:
Victoria Point Surgery, The Wishing Well Cafe, Brown Sugar Cafe & Bar, Naked Seafood, Snap Fitness along with many other wonderful local businesses in our area.

I would also like to thank my new friends Chris, Janet, Terri, Sandra, Carly, Tim and Kassandra, these are people that I had not met before this journey and helped out in so many ways as they believed in me and I am sure will remain in my life.

To the residents of Coochiemudlo Island though you are small in numbers you are huge in community spirit and warmth. I encourage you to remain to be a strong voice and demand the attention you so rightly deserve from Council and State Government.

The experience has been both wonderful and challenging and as a person I have grown. I will continue to be involved in my various groups and make a genuine positive contribution to my community. I have been overwhelmed by the kind messages of support from near and far. I will take a break and carefully consider my options over the next few weeks as to what direction my life will take.

Let it be known though I do value honesty, integrity and justice which I will ensure at least in my local area it will prevail. Thank you and take care.

I am disappointed you did not win. Hope you get in next time and there will be a next time.
